Overview of the role:
The Stock Keeper is an essential part of the Watsons team, responsible for maintaining organized and well-stocked inventory to support store operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to begin their career in retail and learn about inventory management in a dynamic environment.
What you will do:
- Receiving and Organizing Stock:
- Assist in receiving and unpacking stock deliveries.
- Ensure products are accurately labeled and stored in their designated areas.
- Organize the stockroom to ensure items are easy to locate and access.
- Shelf Replenishment:
- Refill shelves and displays promptly to ensure product availability.
- Follow guidelines for product placement and visual merchandising.
- Replace damaged or expired items as needed.
- Stock Monitoring:
- Perform regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Inform the Store Manager or Supervisor of low-stock items.
- Assist in preparing stock for promotions and sales events.
- Team Support:
- Help sales associates locate stock items during customer inquiries.
- Participate in periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
- Work collaboratively with the store team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and safe stockroom environment in compliance with Watsons’ standards.
- Handle stock with care to avoid damages or losses.
Required Skills to be successful:
- Organizing skills
- Basic organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
- Basic computer skills are a plus but not essential
