Job Description

About the Role 

DESS College is looking to recruit a Teacher of MFL (Maternity Cover) for January 2027 start. The position will be required until 2nd July 2027.

About You

• Hold the relevant qualifications (PGCE or equivalent) and possess QTS certification.
• Have a minimum of one year of teaching experience in a UK curriculum school.
• Be a strong and highly motivated linguist, with a proven track record of outstanding teaching at A Level in either French or Spanish.
• Be able to demonstrate a strong social and political knowledge of the target language countries, appropriate for A Level discussion and debate. 
• Have experience of outstanding teaching in French and Spanish at Key Stage 3 and of either language at Key Stage 4.
• Be willing to contribute positively to all aspects of the College’s vision, including extra-curricular activities.
