GEMS Royal Dubai School is a vibrant, premium British curriculum school, currently educating students from FS1 to Year 8. From September 2026, we will expand to Year 9 as part of our exciting journey towards becoming a full through school to Year 13.

With over 850 students representing more than 48 nationalities, our school offers a strong sense of community alongside a commitment to the highest academic standards. As part of our continued growth, we are delighted to be opening a brand new, purpose built secondary campus in September 2026, providing state of the art facilities across two sites.

We are now looking to appoint an exceptional Primary Science Leader to join our Middle Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate educator to play a key role in shaping the future of Science across our school, while contributing to our high performing and collaborative culture.

The role

As Primary Science Leader, you will lead Science across EYFS and Primary as a subject expert, delivering an outstanding, dynamic and engaging learning experience that leads to exceptional student outcomes. This role includes a teaching commitment within either EYFS or Primary.

You will inspire both students and colleagues, driving forward innovation, enquiry based learning and a love for Science, while upholding and enhancing our #RoyalStandard.

Skills

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of Science across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in line with the National Curriculum for England
• Driving high standards of teaching and learning, ensuring excellent progress and outcomes for all students
• Further developing the use of science labs and resources to support high quality investigations, experiments and STEAM opportunities
• Using data effectively to inform planning, personalise learning and maximise student progress
• Contributing to whole school improvement through collaboration, including MER documentation and modelling best practice
• Demonstrating a high performance mindset, with a reflective and solution focused approach
• Supporting the safeguarding, wellbeing and personal development of all students
• Building strong relationships with colleagues, students and parents
• Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and community events
• Actively engaging in ongoing professional development as both a teacher and leader
  

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong subject knowledge in Science across EYFS and Primary
• Has a proven track record of impact in leadership or is ready to take the next step into middle leadership
• Is passionate about delivering outstanding teaching and learning
• Is creative, enthusiastic and student centred in their approach
• Thrives in a collaborative, fast paced and high performing environment
• Is committed to continuous improvement and professional growth
