Science Lab Assistant

Job Description

GEMS Founders School – Dubai South is looking for a qualified and compassionate Science Lab Assistant to join our Admin team. The successful candidate will play a key role Responsible for the overall maintenance of Science labs and organisation of experiments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update register of Lab equipment.
• Maintain and update register of chemicals and other consumables.
• Prepare Lab experiments and practicals in coordination with the Head of Science and Science teachers.
• Responsible for keeping the labs organised and clean in coordination with the Head of Science and teachers.
• Report breakage/damage of equipment to Head of Science.
• Responsible for safety procedures in the Labs in coordination with other members of the department.
• Prepare annual list of consumables, glassware and equipment in conjunction with Head of Science

• Degree in Science
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with staff and students. Attention to detail, organised and a team player
