The Digital Hotelier (TDH) is a UAE-based hospitality technology company helping hotels and resorts drive direct revenue growth and profitability through world-class digital infrastructure, booking app, and data-driven performance marketing.

We work with independent and group hotels across the MENA region, Southeast Asia and USA.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant (Arabic Speaker) to join our Finance team and take ownership of end-to-end accounting and financial control functions. The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting background, deep understanding of local compliance and tax regulations (especially UAE VAT), and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. This role is critical in supporting the CFO with timely and accurate financial data and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and payroll
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations, including VAT and corporate tax
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Supervise junior accountant(s), review entries, and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Monitor cash flow and working capital management
• Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and reporting processes
• Process monthly payroll and employee related payments
• Support CFO in strategic financial initiatives and investor reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
• In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT laws and corporate tax readiness
• Strong command of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in SaaS, digital services, or hospitality industries
• Exposure to startup or high-growth company environments
• Hands-on experience in financial modelling and forecasting
• Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems
