MedNet’s Finance department safeguards and manages the organization’s financial integrity and sustainability. Its core functions encompass strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, performance management, treasury and capital management, accounting and financial reporting, procurement and accounts payable, credit management, and corporate tax compliance. The department ensures the prudent allocation of resources, effective risk management, and the ongoing financial stability and growth of the organization. Operating as a shared services centre for all legal entities and business units, the finance team comprises over 20 professionals.
We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee the general accounting operations, prepares financial reports and ensures compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience in financial management.
Your Job:
- Issue invoices and billing statements to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Follow up on collections through customer meetings, calls, and visits, while tracking incoming cash flow.
- Process, verify, and post receipts in the finance system, maintaining accurate payment records and account statuses.
- Engage with customers to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and identify and escalate payment gaps when necessary.
- Maintain and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger, preparing management reports including delinquent account analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and analyze receivable transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), support audits, ensure compliance with tax regulations (including e-invoicing), and assist in IFRS 9 ECL calculations while identifying potential credit risks.
Your profile:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting within multinational environment
- Recognized professional accounting qualification
- Working knowledge of recognized ERP system such as SAP or Oracle
- Knowledge of Egyptian Tax Portal
