Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Senior Account. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. 

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations and accounting standards. 

• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions and maintain proper documentation and audit trails. 

• Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making. 

• Handle client billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition, particularly for legal services and retainers. 

• Ensure timely collection of receivables and follow up on outstanding client payments. 

• Coordinate with auditors and prepare required schedules for internal and external audits. 

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including preparation and submission of VAT returns. 

• Maintain compliance with UAE Corporate Tax laws and assist in tax planning and reporting. 

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring high performance and accuracy. 

• Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. 

• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management, including profitability reports by case/client. 

• Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities as required. 

• Support management with financial insights, risk assessment, and strategic planning. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred). 

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is (a Plus) 

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience UAE, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. 

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. 

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Peachtree (Sage 50). 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, reporting, and data analysis). 

• Strong knowledge of internet applications, online banking platforms, and financial portals. 

• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality. 

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
