Role Description The Senior Audit Officer is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on internal audits across financial, operational, and IT functions. This full-time, on-site role is based in Dubai and involves reviewing processes, controls, and compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and Shariah guidelines. Day-to-day activities include preparing audit plans, conducting fieldwork, testing controls, analyzing data, and drafting clear, evidence-based audit reports. The role also supports follow-up on audit findings, monitors remediation actions, and collaborates with business units to strengthen risk management and internal control frameworks. The Senior Audit Officer contributes to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, transparency, and governance practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong auditing expertise, including experience in internal audits and assurance engagements, with the ability to evaluate controls and identify risks.
  • Ability to prepare clear, structured audit reports and communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of IT audit practices and basic understanding of information systems controls and data security considerations.
  • Solid finance knowledge and understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving to assess processes and interpret complex information.
  • Relevant academic qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA) are preferred.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services, ideally within Takaful or Shariah-compliant environments, is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Dubai.
