Job Description
Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the tax function across Bloom Holding and its subsidiaries by ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate Tax, and Transfer Pricing requirements. The role assists in tax reporting, tax filings, reconciliations, accounting and posting of tax entries in the ERP and booking of related bank receipts, audits, and compliance activities while maintaining accurate tax records and supporting business operations with tax-related guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review VAT returns for Bloom Holding and its subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate submission in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
- Perform monthly VAT reconciliations between SAP records, general ledger accounts, and tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the implementation and compliance of UAE Corporate Tax requirements, including data gathering, calculations, and documentation.
- Assist in preparing Corporate Tax computations, tax provisions, and supporting schedules for statutory and management reporting purposes.
- Support transfer pricing compliance activities, including maintaining documentation and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist tax function head in reviewing accounting transactions and business activities to ensure correct tax treatment and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Monitor changes in UAE tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the company’s operations and compliance requirements.
- Maintain tax records, supporting documents, and audit files to ensure readiness for internal and external audits and FTA reviews.
- Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, and business units to obtain information required for tax reporting and compliance activities.
- Support responses to tax authority inquiries, audits, assessments, and information requests.
- Assist in identifying tax risks, compliance gaps, and process improvement opportunities to strengthen the organization’s tax control framework.
- Ensure accurate tax-related master data and reporting structures within SAP and other financial systems.
- Prepare periodic tax reports, reconciliations, and management presentations highlighting compliance status, risks, and key tax matters.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the line manager.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ACA, CMA, CTA, master’s in accounting or finance or equivalent is an advantage
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in UAE VAT compliance and tax reporting.
- Good understanding of UAE Corporate Tax legislation and Transfer Pricing requirements.
- Strong accounting background with experience in financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP (essential).
- Previous experience in a Big4 accounting firm or similar industry is preferred.
- Experience within real estate, construction, or diversified group environments would be an advantage.
