Job Title: Tax Manager

Job Summary:
The Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager at GBM will oversee all tax-related functions across the Gulf region, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations (including VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax regimes) while optimizing the organization’s tax position. This role serves as the primary tax advisor to senior leadership, supporting business growth through strategic tax planning, risk management, and operational efficiency in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional tax strategy aligned with business objectives and shareholder value
- Advise leadership on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and new market entries
- Monitor legislative changes across GCC jurisdictions and assess impact on operations
- Design tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions, intercompany arrangements, and service delivery models
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, Zakat where applicable)
- Oversee tax provision calculations for financial reporting under IFRS
- Manage tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities (FTA, GAZT, and other GCC tax bodies)
- Maintain robust tax documentation, transfer pricing files, and audit trails
- Lead automation and digitalization of tax processes (e-invoicing, ERP tax modules, e-filing platforms)
- Build and mentor a high-performing tax team; manage external tax advisors and consultants
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations to embed tax considerations into business workflows
- Drive continuous improvement in tax controls, governance, and reporting frameworks
- Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across all operating entities
- Establish and maintain effective tax risk management policies and procedures
- Support internal and external audit processes with comprehensive tax documentation
Qualifications & Education Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; Master’s or tax specialization preferred
- CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent tax certification CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent; additional certification (e.g., ADIT, US CPA) preferred
- 6–8 years in tax, with 3+ years in GCC tax environment
- IT services, technology, or professional services preferred
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, and GCC corporate tax developments
- Deep expertise across GCC tax regimes; demonstrated experience with complex cross-border structures
- Advanced Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), tax software Expert-level ERP and tax technology; experience with tax automation and e-invoicing platforms
- Fluent English; Arabic highly advantageous
