- Assist Academy Vision and Compliance
- Support the academy’s vision, strategic goals, and improvement plans.
- Comply with health & safety, equal opportunities, dress code, and IT policies.
- Engage in performance management and required training, including safeguarding.
- Attend staff briefings and follow sign-in/out procedures when off-site.
Areas of Responsibility and Key Tasks Planning, Preparation, Teaching and Lesson Management
- Create a positive learning environment with clear, challenging objectives.
- Use assessment and data to plan differentiated lessons tailored to student needs.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, punctuality, and work quality.
- Use varied teaching methods and effective questioning with appropriate resources.
- Continuously evaluate and improve teaching effectiveness.
- Ensure efficient use of classroom support.
Monitoring, Assessment, Recording, Reporting
- Assess and monitor student progress, mark work, and set targets.
- Use data to inform planning and improve learning outcomes.
- Prepare reports for parents and complete required assessments.
Curriculum Development
- Contribute to subject and academy development plans with clear targets.
- Support the academy’s overall vision through collaborative activities.
Other Professional Requirements
- Understand professional duties and legal responsibilities.
- Maintain effective working relationships and professional conduct.
- Promote high expectations and student potential.
- Collaborate with staff and participate in academy events and marketing.
- Take responsibility for professional development and liaise effectively with parents.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or other relevant field with a teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching specialist subject up to GCSE and A Level desirable but not essential.

- Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language
