Our Story
Founded in 1973, NMDC Energy began with a fabrication yard in Saadiyat and a dedicated offshore construction team. Our offshore operations launched in 1978, and over the years, we expanded our services to meet the evolving needs of the energy sector.
Today, NMDC Energy operates globally, offering cutting-edge EPC solutions that solve complex challenges for leading businesses. Being part of NMDC Group allows us to leverage shared expertise and resources to deliver innovative and reliable results.
Key Milestones
1973: Founded by ADNOC & CCC
1974: Saadiyat fabrication yard and offshore construction division established
1978: Offshore operations and pipe coating yard launched
1986: Onshore construction division created; offshore fleet expanded
1994–1995: New coating and fabrication facilities commissioned
2001: First major EPC contract with Shell
2007–2015: Expansion of engineering capabilities and major equipment inductions
2019–2020: Completion of Umm Lulu Super Complex; became fully UAE-owned
2024: NMDC Energy IPO
