About Company

The Rashid Centre for Students of Determination was established in 1994 with the goal of making a real difference in the lives of students with special needs. From the beginning, our mission has aligned with the UAE’s vision of faith, empowerment, employment, and social inclusion for students of determination.

We support children from the age of 4 who have a range of physical, learning, and sensory challenges. Our Centre offers a comprehensive curriculum and a therapeutic approach, including vocational training, which has helped many of our students gain meaningful employment.

Over the years, we have received ongoing support from both public and private sectors through donations, sponsorships, volunteering, and new initiatives. This support has allowed the Centre to grow, evolve, and continue providing high-quality education and care.

Our experienced and dedicated staff design educational and therapeutic programs based on the latest research and best practices. We also collaborate with universities and organizations to ensure our students receive the best possible support.

We invite you to explore our website to learn about our therapies, educational programs, and the activities that make learning at the Rashid Centre enjoyable and enriching.

Admissions

The Rashid Centre serves students with additional learning needs that may make attending a regular school challenging. These needs can include physical, cognitive, and sensory processing challenges.

Before admission, each child undergoes an initial assessment, reviewing previous medical and psychological evaluations. This helps us understand their primary needs and determine the best way to support their learning. Students are admitted only when we are confident that we can meet their individual needs.

Assessment

During the first month at the Centre, our class team observes and assesses each student’s strengths, areas needing support, and learning style. By the end of the month, a full baseline assessment is completed and shared with parents. This assessment informs the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Individual Training Plan (ITP), setting personalized goals and targets for their growth.
