Role Description The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for managing the resort’s vendor and supplier payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include receiving, verifying, and processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date accounts payable records. The role also involves coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers to address billing inquiries, support month-end closing activities, and assist with financial reporting as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Palma Beach Resort & Spa in Umm al-Quwain, United Arab Emirates.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Finance and Accounting, with a solid understanding of accounts payable processes and basic financial principles.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Invoice Processing, including data entry accuracy, invoice verification, and reconciliation of vendor accounts.
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with vendors, colleagues, and management.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field are preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel), attention to detail, and the ability to work with deadlines are beneficial.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or a similar industry, and familiarity with UAE accounting and tax practices, is an advantage.
