Role Description The Audit Tax Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for overseeing tax audit and compliance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role includes managing tax planning initiatives, reviewing tax returns and supporting documentation, and ensuring accurate tax preparation in line with local and international regulations. The Audit Tax Manager will lead audit teams, review financial statements for tax implications, and provide guidance on indirect taxation matters to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risk. Day-to-day tasks involve coordinating with clients, supervising junior staff, monitoring deadlines, and preparing clear reports and recommendations that support sound tax and audit decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Tax Planning and Tax Preparation, with the ability to design efficient tax strategies and oversee accurate filings.
- Demonstrated experience in Tax Audits, including managing audit processes, dealing with tax authorities, and resolving audit queries.
- Solid understanding of Indirect Taxation (e.g., VAT and similar regimes) and its impact on business operations and transactions.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting Financial Statements to identify tax risks, opportunities, and compliance issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA) are highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple engagements and tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex tax concepts in a clear, concise manner.
- Experience managing and mentoring audit and tax teams, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
- Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment, preferably within the UAE or GCC region, is an asset.
