Role Description
The IB Chemistry Teacher is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing and delivering engaging chemistry lessons within the framework of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). Responsibilities include planning lessons, assessing student progress, fostering a positive and stimulating classroom environment, supporting students’ academic and personal growth, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure high-quality education for all students.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Chemistry Education, and a strong understanding of teaching methods for IB Diploma Programme or similar curricula
- Strong skills in Lesson Planning and creating effective instructional materials
- Effective Communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to teach and support students in related sciences, such as Physics
- Excellent classroom management skills and enthusiasm for teaching a diverse group of students
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field and a teaching certification. IB-specific experience essential and IB training is highly desirable
- Previous experience teaching at the secondary school level, with preference for IB DP expertise
