Job Description
Job Purpose:
Khales Engineering Consultancy is seeking a qualified and licensed Electrical Engineer to support the design, supervision, and authority coordination of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The candidate must hold a valid UAE license and be eligible to apply for electrical approvals through SEWA and FEWA under their professional registration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review electrical system designs, ensuring compliance with local authority regulations and international standards.
- Submit and follow up on electrical applications, NOCs, and approvals with SEWA, FEWA, and other relevant entities under the engineer’s license.
- Prepare load schedules, single-line diagrams, technical reports, and drawings for submission and approval.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, mechanical) to integrate electrical systems into project designs.
- Ensure all electrical drawings and installations meet safety, efficiency, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical support during construction, including supervision, inspection, and resolving site issues.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure timely and accurate documentation and approvals.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain authority records, application logs, and ensure compliance with municipality requirements.
- Assist with project tendering, BOQ preparation, and evaluation of subcontractors’ compliance with authority regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Valid UAE Engineer License (preferably approved by Sharjah and Fujairah Municipalities).
- Eligibility to apply under personal license with SEWA and FEWA for electrical project approvals is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in authority submissions and supervision of electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of UAE standards, FEWA/SEWA guidelines, and international electrical codes (NEC, IEC, etc.).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical calculation software, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- UAE Driving License is an advantage.
