Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and guest-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services.
- Handle room assignments, key issuance, and billing in accordance with hotel standards.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms are ready and guest requests are fulfilled.
- Maintain updated knowledge of room availability, promotions, and policies.
- Process reservations and walk-ins according to the established procedures.
- Ensure proper cash handling, posting of charges, and maintaining guest records.
- Prepare and review daily reports, ensuring all transactions are accurate and documented properly.
- Promote and upsell hotel services, room upgrades, and special offers to enhance guest experience and maximize revenue.
- Ensure compliance with security procedures, privacy standards, and hotel policies.
- Maintain an organized front desk area and ensure all shift duties are completed in accordance with hotel standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar front office assistant role within a hotel or resort.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management
- Experience working with the Opera system / Excel (Microsoft office).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem Solving Mindset
- The ability to work a rotating roster with evening and weekend availability
- Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., Arabic, German, French) are a plus.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
