Job Description
We are seeking for a Head of English with experience in teaching British Curriculum for KS 3 to 5, join our team in August 2025.
As Head of English, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of dedicated English teachers.
- Develop and implement an engaging, ambitious, and inclusive English curriculum.
- Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional development within the department.
- Ensure effective use of resources and lead the development of English facilities.
- Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school initiatives and priorities.
Skills
The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced and qualified English teacher with a strong track record of success.
- Passionate about English education and able to inspire students of all abilities.
- A proven leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Skilled in curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Experienced with IGCSE and A Level exam boards.
- Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Proficient in effective communication and collaboration.
- Innovative in their approach to teaching and learning.
