Head of Lower Elementary School (Grades 1 and 2)

About the Role:

The Head of Lower Elementary (Grade 1 & 2) at SAIS is responsible for overseeing the operations and educational programs specifically designed for students (6-7 years).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall coordination and management of the lower elementary section activities and ensuring all the programs are running smoothly, efficiently, and effectively daily.
  • Make sure all students are provided with adequate support for growth and development through guidance, counseling, and relevant training.
  • Maintain an effective communication system between the students and parents.
  • Make sure the learning facilities are clean, hygienic, and safe for learning.
  • Monitor teachers and ensure proper coverage of the syllabus throughout the year.
  • Determine annual objectives for the instructional and extracurricular programs.
  • Preserve academic and other school records.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent, or in Educational Leadership
  • Practical experience in the same role is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of the elementary and lower primary curriculum content.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Outstanding coaching and mentoring skills for new teachers.
