We are Hiring: Head of Science Department
📍 Location: Sharjah American International School – Emirate of Sharjah, UAE
🌍 Language Requirement: English Native Speakers Only
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Science (Science HoD) to join our leadership team at SAIS in Sharjah Branch. The ideal candidate will lead our Science department with passion, innovation, and a commitment to high academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the Science department across all grade levels (Elementary to High School)
Develop and implement a rigorous, standards-based Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Mentor and support Science teachers in lesson planning, assessment, and classroom strategies
Coordinate lab activities, safety protocols, and science resources
Foster a love of inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking among students
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science Education or a related scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Native-level English fluency (English native speakers only)
Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
