  • To ensure buildings and property are maintained in a professional manner. Coordinate and supervise additions/alterations within the facility. To follow JCIA protocols.

Responsibilities

  • To supervise and coordinate all engineering and maintenance activities in the organization.
  • To be on site from start to close of work (particularly work contracted outside) for supervising and coordinating civil, electrical, plumbing and a/c works.
  •  To allot work to engineering staff on a day-to-day basis and to manage and monitor all overtime work allocated.
  •  To ensure that all engineering works are done properly to obtain a high quality of finished work.
  • To prepare drawings, take out quantities, prepare estimates and scope of work and obtain quotations as required.
  • Prepare a schedule / program for works entrusted and ensure that work planned is finished on time without fail, in the most economical manner to a high standard and quality.
  • To organize maintenance procedures for all areas of the hospital and all allied buildings including staff accommodations.
  • To inspect all areas of the hospital and allied building on a daily / weekly / monthly basis and prepare maintenance plans.
  • To source spare parts and materials and if urgent procedure such items from local market.
  • To maintain logbook of requisitions and expenditure for various projects.
  • To prepare a ‘daily report of hours; at the end of each shift and give to Engineering In-Charge.
  • To maintain maintenance files for spares and materials. Any other reports as directed by the Engineering In-Charge.
  • To work in shifts to suit functioning of department.
  • To be available for ON CALL and overtime work as per employment contract.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering or its Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of Experience in Maintenance Engineering Field
  • Good knowledge in Civil and MEP works and systems 
  • Interpret diagrams/drawings.
  • Computer literate. 
  • Follow infection control and Health & Safety measures
