OP Approvals / Authorization Officer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain insurance approvals and authorizations for outpatient services in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits.
• Communicate with insurance providers for pre-approvals and ensure accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with physicians, patients, and front-desk teams to ensure smooth processing of approvals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and payer guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and insurance regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (preferably 2+ years) in insurance approvals/authorizations in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE insurance companies and outpatient claim processes.
• Familiarity with medical terminologies, ICD/CPT codes, and insurance portals.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office and hospital information systems.
