Al Basma British School is a high-performing, over-subscribed ENC school in Abu Dhabi. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed female Primary PE Teacher to join our dynamic Primary team from August 2025.

This role requires someone who can deliver a broad and engaging PE curriculum, with the ability to teach swimming being essential.

Essential Requirements:

• Female (for cultural and supervision reasons during swimming)
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism or significant experience in Primary PE
• Confident and capable of delivering swimming lessons as part of the PE curriculum

Desirable:

• Experience in or enthusiasm for teaching netball, basketball, and football
• Experience working in a British curriculum school
• Ability to contribute to extra-curricular sports programmes

We currently educate 1950 students from FS1 to Year 13, and continue to grow each year. Our Y3–Y6 students benefit from a purpose-built Primary block and extensive sports facilities.

Al Basma is a BSO-accredited school (EduBase No. 143834) and offers UK-recognised ECT induction in partnership with ESP Education.

We follow the 2014 National Curriculum of England and use GL assessments to track progress. Older students have access to a broad range of iGCSEs, A Levels, and BTEC qualifications.

Qualifications Required:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Primary or Physical Education with QTS
• OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree plus a PGCE/PGDE in Primary Education with QTS
• All documents must be attested for UAE recognition before arrival.
