Position Overview
The Brand Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and performance of the assigned portfolio by leading the execution of integrated marketing initiatives across medical, digital, and trade channels. The role drives end-to-end planning and delivery of medical events, therapy-focused campaigns, and brand activation initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong market visibility.
This position combines scientific understanding, commercial awareness, and executional discipline. The Brand Marketing Specialist develops high-quality promotional and scientific content, supports field force enablement, collaborates closely with Sales, Key Accounts, Logistics, and external partners, and contributes to budget optimisation to maximise return on investment. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable brand impact.
Roles and Responsibilities
Brand Strategy Support & Portfolio Growth
- Support the implementation of brand strategies and annual marketing plans to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Translate brand objectives into clear activation plans aligned with therapy priorities and commercial targets.
- Conduct ongoing market, competitor, and pricing analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and growth levers.
- Research therapy trends, regulatory requirements, and category developments to support onboarding and positioning of new products.
- Contribute to launch readiness, go-to-market execution, and post-launch performance evaluation, recommending corrective actions where required.
Medical Events & Scientific Engagement
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of medical events including CME programmes, scientific conferences, and exhibitions, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and scientific stakeholders to strengthen brand credibility and professional engagement.
- Manage event logistics, agency coordination, supplier negotiations, and budget tracking to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Conduct post event performance analysis and ROI evaluation, driving continuous improvement.
Campaign Management & Digital Activation
- Plan, execute, and monitor therapy-focused and integrated marketing campaigns across offline and digital channels to maximise reach, engagement, and return on investment.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure consistent messaging and on-time execution.
- Align campaign activities with sales cycles, key account priorities, and product availability to ensure commercial impact.
- Track campaign performance metrics and recommend optimisation actions to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Content Development & Field Force Enablement
- Develop, adapt, and oversee high-quality scientific and promotional materials across print and digital platforms, ensuring clear, compliant, and consistent brand communication.
- Create detailing aids, promotional tools, and sales support materials that enhance field force effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Provide structured brand briefings and ongoing enablement support to medical representatives to strengthen product knowledge and execution quality.
- Ensure all materials comply with regulatory requirements and internal approval standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Collaborate closely with Key Account, Sales, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution of marketing initiatives and product availability.
- Maintain strong working relationships with external agencies, designers, printers, and suppliers to guarantee quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate production timelines and inventory planning for promotional materials to avoid operational gaps.
- Drive clear communication and alignment across functions to ensure seamless delivery of brand initiatives.
Budget Monitoring & Performance Optimisation
- Work closely with Brand Managers and the Head of Marketing to monitor brand budgets and track spend against approved plans.
- Support cost management and optimisation initiatives to ensure efficient resource allocation and expense control.
- Analyse brand performance, promotional effectiveness, and campaign ROI to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance profitability while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in brand marketing within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, FMCG, or healthcare sectors.
- Proven experience in planning and executing medical events such as CME programmes, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Hands-on exposure to integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, and go-to-market execution.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Key Accounts, Supply Chain, and external agencies.
- GCC market exposure is preferred, with strong understanding of local healthcare and regulatory dynamics.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of brand management principles, therapy area positioning, and promotional strategy execution.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards, promotional approval processes, and regulatory considerations.
- Ability to develop scientific and promotional content aligned with brand messaging and medical accuracy.
- Experience in budget tracking, cost control, and ROI analysis.
- Proficiency in digital campaign coordination and performance tracking across offline and online channels.
- Strong analytical capability with working knowledge of Excel and presentation tools such as PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage agencies, suppliers, and event logistics effectively.
