Senior Accountant

Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join a lean, high-impact finance team and take ownership of financial accuracy and integrity across multiple legal entities. This is a role for someone who thrives in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment with international trade exposure, and who can partner closely with senior leadership on reporting, working capital, and investor-ready deliverables.

What you’ll do

📒 Accounting Operations & Reporting: Manage day-to-day accounting across multiple related entities, including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close, and prepare timely IFRS financial statements.

🌍 Multi-Currency AR/AP & Working Capital: Maintain and reconcile receivables and payables across export markets and currencies, and support cash flow analysis, DSO/DPO tracking, inventory schedules, and collections monitoring.

📈 Investor & Lender Deliverables: Help prepare financial models, board packs, and materials for lenders, investors, and other stakeholders, flagging discrepancies and proposing corrections proactively.

🧾 Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, UAE Federal Law, and other frameworks, maintain strong internal controls, and coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and banking partners.

🏭 Group & Cost Accounting: Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination and reconciliation across the group, and support cost accounting (BOM, cost-per-unit) for a manufacturing/export business.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with FMCG, export/trading, or manufacturing exposure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-entity corporate structures and consolidated reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with official frameworks is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel, financial modelling, and working capital analysis skills.
  • Experience preparing materials for investors, lenders, or financing facilities (highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with international trade documentation, LCs, shipping/collections cycles, AR/AP schedules is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical rigor, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • High integrity and discretion, given exposure to sensitive multi-entity financial data.
