About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Director of Pre-Openings, to join our team in Jumeirah Corporate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preopening strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives, ensuring all aspects of property launch are addressed.
- Lead and manage the entire preopening project lifecycle, from concept to execution, ensuring timely completion of milestones and adherence to budget constraints.
- Responsible for the oversight of preopening master task lists / Gannt ChartsÂ
- Coordinate and collaborate with various departments (e.g., operations, HR, marketing, and finance) to ensure seamless integration of preopening activities and effective communication across teams.
- Prepare and manage preopening / IT / OSE budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support successful property launches.
- Ensure that all operational processes and standards are established and implemented prior to the property opening, facilitating smooth operations and compliance with brand standards.
- Work closely with HR to oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of property staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver exceptional service and embody the brand values.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute preopening marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the brand identity and messaging to generate buzz and attract guests.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors involved in the preopening process, ensuring they meet quality standards and timelines.
- Identify potential risks associated with the preopening process and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct post-opening evaluations to assess the effectiveness of preopening activities, gathering feedback for continuous improvement and providing ongoing support to the property during the transition period.

About You:
- 10-15 years of industry experience in launching and managing new hotels or resorts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in project management to ensure seamless execution of preopening initiatives.
- Extensive experience in hospitality with a focus on preopening management and operations.
- Detail-oriented approach to maintain high operational and brand standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills for strategic planning and reporting.
