Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Aman Lil Afia Clinic in Dubai. The role involves providing specialized care in obstetrics and gynecology, diagnosing and treating women’s health issues, conducting routine check-ups, and performing procedures related to pregnancy and reproductive health.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional duties as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist.
- Provide outpatient care for gynecologic and obstetric conditions in the O.P.D.
- Work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as per the schedule assigned by the Head of Department.
- Conduct and interpret ultrasound examinations on an outpatient basis.
- Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and take appropriate actions based on findings.
- Attend committee meetings as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Communicate with patients’ families to keep them informed about the patient’s condition, any changes, and the care plan.
- Monitor clinical and other quality indicators to ensure continuous quality assurance.
- Adhere strictly to the organization’s medical regulations and policies, particularly those related to infection control, patient safety, assessment, and care.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Head of Department.
- Follow all OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, and cooperate with hospital management to meet these requirements.
- Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures and specific responsibilities.
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Report OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and issues, and assist with preparing risk assessments and incident reports.
- Comply with waste management policies and procedures.
- Participate in OSH/infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness sessions.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical services policies and procedures, U.A.E. law and regulations, company policies and procedures.
- Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic desirable but not mandatory.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of Medical Ethics
- Fluency in ARABIC and ENGLISH is preferred
- Active BLS
