Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join the multidisciplinary medical team at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for women across all stages of life, with a focus on pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive health, and disorders of the female reproductive system. The Specialist will manage both routine and high-risk obstetric cases, perform gynaecological evaluations and procedures, provide antenatal and postnatal care, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care while promoting women’s health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients.
• Manage antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and emergency obstetric cases in accordance with evidence-based clinical practices.
• Diagnose and treat common and complex gynaecological conditions and perform procedures within the approved scope of practice.
• Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient care, and emergency assessments while maintaining accurate medical records.
• Provide family planning, reproductive health, preventive screening, and patient education services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing professional development.
• Comply with hospital policies, patient safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of recognized Obstetrics & Gynaecology residency and board certification.
• Minimum 3 years of post-certification experience as a Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Licenses to practice (e.g., MOH, DHA, or relevant local authority).
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
