Sports Coach/PE Teacher with Netball Specialism

Job Description

We are looking to appoint an experienced Coach/PE Teacher to support with the continued expansion and development of their busy sports program. The selected candidate must have played and coached Netball at a high level, be a good team player willing to help out with other sports and coach beyond school hours. Netball specialism is essential; however, candidates will also be highly considered if they can demonstrate the ability to coach in other sporting areas. The ideal candidate will be a graduate who has competed at a high level, enjoys working as part of a team, and be keen to gain more experience in an educational setting. The successful candidate will be working alongside other experienced team members to contribute to the whole school sports programme (EYFS – Y11) and performance teams.

Our ideal candidate will have:

•  Netball coaching qualifications;
• A background in S&C and SAQ training (preferable);
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not essential;
• An experience of teaching a wide range of children in commercial, club or educational environments;
•  Excellent command of the English language;
• Contribute to curriculum development and adaptation with particular attention to the netball coaching curriculum;
• Have experience leading a Sports Scholar pull-out program;
• Develop excellence amongst students by identifying exceptional learners and subsequently providing performance pathways; 
• Willingness and ability to attend and run extra-curricular activities, squad training and competitions.
