About The Opportunity
A leading provider in the Education & Training sector serving K–12 and early-years institutions across the UAE. We support inclusive, outcomes-driven classroom environments and partner with schools to deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned learning on-site.
We are hiring an on-site Teaching Assistant to support classroom instruction, student wellbeing, and learning outcomes across primary/elementary year groups. This is a hands-on role based in the UAE (on-site) for candidates who thrive in busy classroom settings and collaborate closely with teachers and parents.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day classroom support: assist the lead teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management, transitions, and supervision.
- Support differentiated learning: work with small groups and individual students to reinforce concepts, provide practice, and adapt materials to varying learning needs.
- Prepare and organise teaching materials, displays, and resources to support lesson plans and maintain an engaging learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and behaviour: record observations, report concerns to the teacher, and contribute to student assessment and IEP (where applicable).
- Promote a safe, inclusive classroom culture: implement safeguarding practices, support social-emotional development, and assist with personal care when needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents: attend briefings, share updates on student progress, and follow instructional guidance from the teaching team.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Secondary diploma or higher; certificate/diploma in Education, Early Childhood, or Teaching Assistance preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on classroom or childcare experience (primary/elementary or early years).
- Strong English communication (verbal & written); ability to support lesson delivery and engage students.
- Valid UAE work status or eligibility to work in the UAE; willingness to work on-site full-time.
Preferred
- Formal TA qualification, CACHE/NVQ, Montessori, or experience with British/IB curricula.
- CPR/First Aid, safeguarding/child protection training, or experience supporting additional learning needs (SEN).
