Dubai Taxi Company

Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) is the largest taxi operator in Dubai, providing a wide range of mobility solutions across the emirate. Established in 1994 and starting operations in 1995 with just 221 taxis, DTC has grown to operate over 10,000 vehicles, including around 6,000 taxis, and employs more than 18,000 driver partners. Today, DTC offers taxi services, VIP limousine services, bus transport, and last-mile delivery bikes.

In 2023, Dubai Taxi Corporation was officially restructured as a public joint-stock company (PJSC) under Law No. (21) of 2023, giving it financial and administrative independence. This allows DTC to expand its services, modernize operations, and continue leading Dubai’s transport sector.

Key Milestones

1994: Dubai Taxi operations launched.

1995: Began with 81 taxis, opened training center and vehicle maintenance workshop.

1997: Formation of Dubai Taxi Corporation.

2007: Introduced hybrid cars and expanded services at Al Maktoum International Airport.

2010: Launched school bus services.

2015: Reached 1 billion passengers; started Tesla electric car program.

2017: Launched DTC mobile app and partnered with Hala.

2019: Started delivery bike services.

2022: Listed on Dubai Financial Market (IPO).

2023: Introduced Smart Taxi fleet automation.

2024: Expanded airport taxi fleet and launched Bolt e-hailing services.
