Leadership
H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak – Chairman
H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak is a prominent Emirati leader and a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. As Chairman of Miral, he has played a key role in turning Yas Island into a world-class destination for entertainment, leisure, and business.
Al Mubarak focuses on expanding Miral’s reach, building new partnerships, and introducing innovative services. Under his leadership, Miral was appointed Destination Manager of Saadiyat Island in 2022, strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a cultural and tourism hub.
He also serves as President of the Abrahamic Family House and is a member of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, working with international leaders to promote mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. Al Mubarak is Vice-Chair of the ALIPH Foundation Board, which protects heritage sites in conflict areas.
He holds a double major in Economics and Political Science from Northeastern University (USA).
Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi – Group CEO
Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi is the Group CEO of Miral and has been instrumental in transforming the company into a leader in leisure, entertainment, and tourism. Joining Miral in 2015, his strategic vision has helped elevate Yas Island into a world-renowned destination.
Under his leadership, Miral has developed and managed multiple iconic attractions, forming partnerships with global brands like Ferrari, SeaWorld, and Warner Bros. In 2023, Yas Island welcomed 34 million visitors—a 38% increase from the previous year.
Following this success, Miral also took over the management of Saadiyat Island in 2022, boosting its global recognition and attracting 44% more visitors in 2023.
Before Miral, Al Zaabi worked in project and construction development at Aldar Properties and Emirates Advanced Investment, holding leadership roles in technology, estates, and strategic investments.
He currently serves as Chairman of Miral Destinations and is on the board of Miral Experiences, which operates a wide range of world-class attractions in Abu Dhabi. Recognized as one of Forbes Middle East’s Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders in 2024, Al Zaabi was also the first Emirati to earn the prestigious Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
He holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD, an MSc in Strategic Project Planning from Heriot-Watt University, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from UAE University.

My PhD has further enriched my academic journey, allowing me to contribute to the field through research, publications, and active participation in conferences. I have consistently sought to integrate research with teaching and administration, ensuring students are exposed to cutting-edge knowledge while institutions benefit from evidence-based strategies and policies.
