Job Description
Reporting to the Finance and Administrative Director, this role is responsible for managing financial transactions, processing payrolls and commissions, preparing tax returns, assisting in the preparation of year-end financials, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping for Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations. The position requires proficiency in Odoo ERP system to optimize financial processes, support cost control measures, and provide real-time financial insights. This role will help improve financial workflows, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, allowing the Finance Director to focus on strategy and group-wide initiatives. Key Duties & Responsibilities
1) Financial Operations
- Process and record all financial transactions in Odoo for Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations
- Prepare salary, bonuses, incentives, and benefits calculations for Dubai and Abu Dhabi employees
- Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and maintain up-to-date accounts in Odoo
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using Odoo reporting tools
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for Dubai and Abu Dhabi location
2) Odoo ERP System Management
- Maintain and optimize Odoo accounting modules for Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations
- Configure chart of accounts and financial dimensions in Odoo
- Generate financial reports and dashboards from Odoo
- Ensure data integrity and system security in Odoo
- Train Dubai and Abu Dhabi staff on Odoo financial processes
- Coordinate with IT for Odoo system updates and troubleshooting
3) Tax and Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT returns for Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and accounting standards
- Maintain supporting documentation for all tax filings
- Assist in year-end financial preparation and closing
- Support corporate tax implementation and compliance
4) Month-End Closing and Reporting
- Perform month-end closing procedures in Odoo
- Prepare journal entries and adjustments
- Generate management reports for Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations
- Analyze variances and provide explanations
- Consolidate Dubai and Abu Dhabi financials for group reporting
5) Audit and Documentation Support
- Coordinate with external auditors for Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Implement audit recommendations and control improvements
- Maintain organized filing system for financial records
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements
6) Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate financial processes through Odoo
- Implement best practices in accounting workflows
- Streamline reporting processes using Odoo automation
- Reduce manual data entry through system integration
- Provide insights on cost control and efficiency improvements
7) Vendor and Payment Management
- Manage supplier/vendor payments for Dubai and Abu Dhabi
- Negotiate favorable payment terms when possible
- Maintain vendor master data in Odoo
- Process employee expense reimbursements
- Monitor and report on payment schedules
8) Financial Analysis and Support
- Assist in financial forecasting for Dubai and Abu Dhabi operations
- Assist Finance Director with strategic financial projects
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 4-6 years accounting experience (preferably in healthcare)
- Proven experience with Odoo ERP system (minimum 2 years)
- Experience in UAE accounting and VAT regulations
- Experience assisting in year-end financial preparation
- Understanding of IFRS and financial reporting
- Expert proficiency in Odoo ERP accounting modules
