We are on the lookout for an ambitious, energetic Accountant who is willing to grow and take our team to the next level. Reporting directly to the finance manager, an exciting role which will require a well-rounded individual handling a variety of tasks.
An ideal candidate would have 4 to 5 years’ experience, be strong at building relationships, have an eye for detail and accuracy, while having a drive to ensure ownership of the tasks they handle.
What the role entails:
· Managing Accounts payable and Accounts receivable functions.
· Managing all the banks including entries and ensuring timely reconciliation on the system.
· Reconciliation of all store sales and collections (cash, credit card and bank)
· Responsible for day-to-day Bookkeeping and Accounting of GL Accounts.
· Ensure UAE VAT Compliance at all times in terms of Sales and Purchases while recording all entries in accordance to UAE VAT laws and submit the VAT return workings on a quarterly basis.
· Control the inventory entries and manage the stock from an accounting point of view while conducting periodic audits.
· Responsible for Petty Cash book maintenance and recording.
· Support finance manager in day to day accounting and reporting tasks.
· Ensure timely financial year end closing including reconciling and preparation of schedules for audit purposes.
· Support in closing the audit and providing the needed information to external auditors.
Requirements:
· 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting and overall finance function
· Academic or Professional qualification either part or full from a recognized body such as CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
· Strong competence in MS Office applications particularly in excel.
· Exposure to accounting and ERP systems.
· Ability to build relationships and be team player across the verticals.
· Excellent written and spoken English
