Key Responsibilities:
Accounting:
- Ensuring accounting booking for two entities (EMN Business School and EMN FZ LLC)
- Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
Account receivable:
- Manage student fees and customer service provider payments.
- Handle payment recovery and claims.
Account payable:
- Record vendor invoices and process vendor payments.
- Prepare and calculate recharge costs for intercompany transactions.
Bank Reconciliations:
Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements, and other financial records.
- Manage payments entries including supplier payments payment , Taxes, and payroll transactions.
- Oversee treasury management and current account follow up.
Payroll:
- Ensure accuracy in payroll accounting and statements.
Taxation:
- Prepare and file VAT returns and corporate tax returns in compliance with UAE tax laws.
- Coordinate with the FTA agent for necessary actions.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
Audit Support:
- Assist in the preparation for external audits and provide necessary documentation and information.
Compliance:
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to UAE laws, regulations, internal policies and banking guidelines.
Financial Analysis:
- Provide detailed and periodic analysis and interpretation of financial data to support business decision-making.
- Ensure alignment with headquarters’ guidelines and reporting requirements.
Budgeting:
Develop budgets, compare them with actual results, and identify variances to control costs effectively.
Closing:
- Perform monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring accurate cut-off procedures and timely preparation of financial statements.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
- Professional certifications from ACCA/CPA/ CA Inter are mandatory
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles in the UAE.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or other UAE-relevant software.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, UAE VAT laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Language: English professional- French necessary
