Job Description:
- Accounts Payable: Manage supplier invoices, payment cycles, and expense tracking while ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Payroll Management: Prepare and process payroll, ensuring accurate salary disbursements and statutory compliance (WPS, EOSB/VESSS, etc.).
- Employee Benefits Calculations: Calculate and maintain provisions for End of Service Benefits (EOSB) and contributions to the Voluntary End-of-Service Savings Scheme (VESSS).
- Transaction Reconciliation: Support in performing reconciliations for bank, inter-company, and supplier accounts.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledger accounts; support reconciliations and ensure compliance with IFRS/UAE GAAP.
- Monthly Closing Support: Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and preparation of management accounts.
- VAT Compliance: Support in VAT return workings, ensure timely filing and payment, and maintain VAT records for FTA review.
- Corporate Tax Support: Assist with UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including data preparation, documentation, and coordination with tax advisors.
- Policy & Process Adherence: Ensure all accounting activities comply with company policies, IFRS standards, and internal controls.
- Bank Liaison: Assist in handling banking matters including FACTA compliance, KYC updates, and document handovers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CA is a plus).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE GAAP, and UAE Corporate Tax framework.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of VAT compliance, including return preparation and FTA requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to handle general ledger management, reconciliations, and monthly closing.
- Strong grasp of internal controls and compliance with accounting policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and resolve discrepancies.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with colleagues, banks, cross-functional teams, etc.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Adaptability and flexibility to navigate evolving regulations and company needs.
