About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Apprentice to join our finance team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals or fresh graduates who are eager to build practical experience in accounting and financial operations. The apprentice will play a key role in supporting daily finance functions across branch operations, working closely with the Credit, Sales, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Receivable Apprentice, you will be responsible for supporting the following activities:
Order & Cash Management
- Review and release sales orders and delivery requests (OBDs) for the assigned branch(es).
- Collect Cash, CDCs, and PDCs from the sales team and ensure accurate logging of PDCs.
- Ensure all PDCs collected align with agreed payment terms; report any deviations to the credit controllers.
- Make daily deposits of cash and CDCs to the bank and post all received payments promptly.
- Update customer accounts in SAP with PDC details.
Petty Cash & Customer Accounts
- Manage and post branch petty cash transactions.
- Clear customer accounts on a daily basis.
- Review newly created customer IDs before extending them to ECC (SAP).
Documentation & Verification
- Handle receipt books: issuance, verification, and record-keeping.
- Maintain a tracking log of all issued or returned receipt books.
- Liaise with banks for inquiries related to direct deposits (cash or cheque).
Audit & Compliance Support
- Support with annual stock counts and warranty scrap audits.
- Review and seek approval for all third-party payments.
Branch & Sales Team Support
- Assist the Sales team with finance-related queries and documentation.
- Ensure timely payment of AADC bills.
- Perform monthly closing activities.
- Provide backup support for other branch accountants as needed.
- Handle various other branch-related administrative tasks.
Requirements
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have
- A Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing one) in Accounting or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant work or internship experience.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- UAE Nationals only (Emiratization role).
