GEMS FirstPoint School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Head Teacher (Secondary) to join our high-performing secondary leadership team from August 2026. This is a strategic leadership post within a large, premium-tier British curriculum school rated Outstanding (BSO) and Very Good (KHDA), with academic outcomes among the top 1% globally for GCSE performance.
This is a versatile role, and the specific portfolio of responsibilities will be shaped around the strengths and experience of the successful candidate. It is ideally suited to a highly competent and knowledgeable academic leader ready to drive impact across curriculum, pedagogy, and data-informed practice.
Person Specification
- A well-read and research-informed practitioner, confident in translating evidence into practice
- Strong curriculum and pedagogical understanding with experience of driving academic improvement
- Technical strength in data analysis, progress tracking, and action planning
- A proven record of securing high student outcomes through effective leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and deliver change
- Familiarity with Teach Like a Champion is desirable
