The Assistant Manager – Finance plays a key role in supporting core financial processes, including control, compliance, regulatory adherence, and reporting. This position assists management in strategic planning and business growth initiatives while ensuring accurate financial close and governance. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and maintain robust financial controls across assigned business units.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Oversee full compliance with UAE VAT laws, including accurate filing and reconciliation. Ensure compliance with Corporate Tax requirements and other local regulatory mandates such as E-Invoicing.
- Act as the primary focal point for internal and external auditors for the assigned business unit facilitates the audit process to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls across assigned business units
- Support execution of audit recommendations and proactively drive improvements in the control environment to mitigate risk.
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to Group policies and Delegation of Authority (DoA).
- Identify process gaps within the IT systems and drive automation projects to reduce manual intervention.
- Closely monitor daily liquidity, optimize working capital cycles (inventory/receivables), and ensure adequate funding for operational needs.
- Collaborate with offshore team to support delivery of requirements as per the SLA
- Partner with operation team to streamline workflows and improve the accuracy of financial data for the assigned unit.
Educational
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Commerce
Qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CMA
Masters would be an advantage
Knowledge & Skill
Detailed understanding of International accounting and finance standards
Knowledge of ERPs
Project management skills
Expertise in automotive dealership business models
Data Analytics – Ability to work with large datasets
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modelling and data visualization tools such as Power BI
Ability to create compelling presentations (PowerPoint)
Experience in automation projects and system implementations
Experience
Minimum post qualification experience of 5-7 years with knowledge of ERPs , and experience in automotive dealership
