Job Description
The Assistant Nurse supports the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting nurses and physicians in clinical and administrative activities. The role is responsible for ensuring patient comfort, maintaining a safe and clean healthcare environment, and adhering to infection control and patient safety standards. The Nursing Assistant contributes to the efficient operation of the clinic, promotes the organization’s vision and mission, and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support continuous quality improvement and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient consultations, examinations, and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, consultation rooms, equipment, and consumables before and after procedures.
- Check and record patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, height, and weight.
- Assist patients during procedures and provide basic patient support.
- Support IV preparation and clinical procedures under supervision of Registered Nurse.
- Ensure cleanliness and disinfection of equipment and clinical areas.
- Maintain stock levels of medical consumables and report shortages or expired items.
- Assist in specimen collection and handling as directed.
- Escort and assist patients within the clinic when required.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinic protocols at all times.
- Report incidents, hazards, and unusual situations immediately to supervisor.
- Maintain Accurate Patient Documentation As Instructed.
- Support smooth patient flow and clinic operational efficiency.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement and patient safety activities.
- Attend mandatory trainings and competency programs.
- Float to other clinic areas as operationally required.
- Perform any additional duties within scope as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Nursing or Healthcare Assistance from an accredited institute/college/university.
- DHA Eligibility Letter or DHA License as Assistant Nurse.
- Advanced Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training – BLS
Experience
A minimum of one (1) year of work experience as an Assistant Nurse or Healthcare Assistant in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
Specific / Relevant Experience
Experience in outpatient clinics, wellness, aesthetic, or healthcare facilities is an advantage.
