Corporate Tax Specialist

Job Description

Support the development, assessment, and implementation of Corporate Tax policies, legislation, and related technical initiatives in alignment with the UAE’s fiscal and economic policy objectives. The role requires hands-on involvement in policy analysis, technical reviews, stakeholder coordination, and preparation of policy papers and legislative proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, review, and enhancement of Corporate Tax policies, procedures, and legislative instruments.

• Conduct technical analysis and policy assessments relating to Corporate Tax matters, including evaluating the economic, fiscal, and operational impact of proposed measures.

• Assist in preparing technical memoranda, briefing notes, presentations, and responses relating to Corporate Tax treatment and interpretation matters.

• Review and analyze Corporate Tax-related guidance, public clarifications, and private clarifications issued by relevant authorities.

• Support coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory authorities, and international organizations.

• Conduct benchmarking studies and research on international tax developments and best practices.

• Assist in drafting and reviewing Cabinet Decisions, Ministerial Decisions, and other legislative or policy documents related to Corporate Tax.

• Contribute to projects related to tax policy reform, tax incentives, revenue analysis, and economic competitiveness initiatives.

• Maintain awareness of international tax developments, including OECD initiatives and emerging global tax trends.

• Support other tax policy and legislative initiatives assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Taxation, Public Policy, or a related field (minimum requirement).

• Relevant professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications (such as ADIT, CPA, ACCA, CTA, CMA, LLM, Master’s in Taxation, or equivalent) are considered an advantage.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant hands-on experience in Corporate Tax, tax policy, tax advisory, legislation, fiscal policy, or related fields.

• Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills.

• Hands-on approach with willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in Corporate Tax policy matters.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced regulatory and policy environment.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred but not mandatory.
