Role Description
The Digital Marketing and Content Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at FEUC in Umm Al Quwain. The specialist will plan, create, and publish digital content across web, social media, and email channels to promote academic programs, campus activities, and student achievements. Daily tasks include managing social media calendars, writing and editing posts, articles, and newsletters, coordinating with academic and administrative teams for campaign content, and monitoring engagement and reach. The role also involves updating website content, ensuring brand consistency, optimizing content for search engines, and assisting with photography, video content, and basic design for digital campaigns. The specialist will track performance metrics, produce regular reports, and recommend improvements to enhance digital presence and recruitment outcomes.
Given UCA’s creative and arts-led identity, this role also offers the opportunity to work closely with students and faculty to showcase creative work — exhibitions, design projects, portfolios, and campus events — as authentic, high-impact content for recruitment and brand storytelling.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in digital marketing, including social media management, content planning, and basic analytics.
- Proficiency in content writing and editing for web, email, and social media, with attention to detail and grammar.
- Ability to develop and implement content strategies aligned with brand guidelines and recruitment goals.
- Familiarity with SEO principles, online advertising platforms, and basic graphic or video tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience working in higher education, student recruitment, or a similar environment is desirable.
- An interest in or appreciation for creative arts, design, or visual storytelling is a strong plus, given UCA’s specialism.
- Comfortable collaborating with diverse teams and engaging with students, faculty, and external stakeholders on-site.
