Role Description The Junior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This position supports the finance function by recording daily transactions, maintaining general ledger entries, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The Junior Accountant helps prepare basic financial reports, reconciles bank statements, and supports month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves organizing financial documentation, assisting with expense tracking, and ensuring that records align with internal policies and local regulations. Collaboration with senior accountants and other team members is expected to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations.
Qualifications
- Foundational accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and basic financial reporting.
- Ability to work with accounting software and spreadsheets, with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice handling and reconciliations.
- Basic knowledge of financial controls, documentation standards, and compliance practices, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Dubai and provide reliable support to senior finance team members.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant internships or entry-level experience are beneficial.
