Job Purpose
To maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and basic support services within the office or project site. The role ensures workspaces, common areas, and washrooms are clean, well-stocked, and welcoming, contributing to a safe and productive environment for all employees and visitors.
Your Role
As an Office assistant, you will:
- Making sure water glasses are placed in all offices
- Arriving earlier than everyone else in the office to ensure everything is set up and ready to go.
- Replacing tissue boxes in all offices and meeting rooms as needed.
- Serving refreshments to all managers and guests.
- Cleaning the meeting rooms before and after all meetings to maintain a tidy environment.
- Replacing water gallons to ensure everyone has water at all times.
- Keeping track of pantry items and stationery and requesting replenishments as necessary.
- Handling any miscellaneous tasks for the managers that may arise.
- Manning the reception desk for an hour when the receptionist is on lunch break or using the washroom.
- Taking care of his own workspace, keeping it clean and tidy at all times, including maintaining coffee machines, microwaves, fridges, etc.
- Performing any other tasks that come up on a daily basis.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
- High School Certificate in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or 2. 2+ years experience
- Advanced understanding of hygiene & cleaning procedures.
- Ability to work independently & take initiative
- Reliable, punctual & professional
- Physically fit & capable of handling manual tasks
- Respectful, courteous, & discreet in a professional setting.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
