We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to support safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use across inpatient services. The role includes prescription review, clinical collaboration, patient counselling, medication safety, sterile IV compounding, and participation in the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, in compliance with DOH, JCI, and hospital standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures smooth running of daily pharmaceutical operations, including preparation, verification, PBM approval or charging, compounding, packaging, labelling, dispensing, and delivering medications in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physicians’ orders and prescriptions, identifying any therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Initiates and maintains monitoring of patient waiting times.
  • Assists in maintaining records for controlled substances and manages the removal of outdated or damaged drugs.
  • Provides supervision, training, and development for pharmacy technicians and team members.
  • Organizes and directs technicians’ workflow, verifying preparation, labelling, and order entries.
  • Works closely with pharmacy staff to ensure optimal workflow and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy with an active DOH license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills possess knowledge of key pharmaceutical procedures and current best practices.
