Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial reporting matters and daily accounting operations
Ensure timely and accurate financial closing (monthly, quarterly, overhead reporting..etc)
- Liaise with various external counterparts (auditors, bankers, and government agencies etc.)
- Handling tax filling related matters (annual corporate tax and quarterly GST)
- Coordinating and working closely with regional and global HQ team to ensure consistencies on accounting and finance related matters
- Communication and presentation to the management
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and statutory requirements
- Trading knowledge
- Bank reconciliations
- Able to manage the Accounts receivable and Accounts payable (invoices)
- Fixed assets management skills
- Manage the daily accounting entries, documents, payments.
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
- Analyze financial information
- Summarize financial status
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree and professional qualification in accountancy is necessary (CA/CMA is an advantage)
- Minimum 5-7 years working experience in accounting field is required
- Working experience in oil trading (Globally) and shipping is a must
- High computer literacy specially advanced skills in Microsoft Office, technically agile with numbers and is able to work independently
- IFRS & IAS knowledge with minimum experience
- Fluent English is a must, and Arabic language is an advantage

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, laws, and any other compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and analysis skills, attentive to detail with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a multitasking environment
- Good understanding of the related governance framework and a strong focus on good internal controls
- A self-motivated, resourceful and fast learner who is able to balance multiple priorities
