Job Description
- Reporting to the VP Compliance and Ethics, the Senior Manager (SM) will support NMC Healthcare’s core ethics programme and will assist the VP’s efforts to build a strong culture of compliance and integrity at NMC
- An experienced compliance and ethics professional with strong exposure building and managing compliance and ethics programmes at large organisations. Fully conversant with and strong experience implementing leading international practices in compliance and ethics risk management
Responsibilities
Support or deliver a range of activities and initiatives as required by the annual plan including
- Manage a range of aspects of the ethics and compliance programme
- Perform compliance risk assessments for NMC group ensuring that business leaders are aware of their compliance risks.
- Proactively monitor compliance risk (i.e. Code of Conduct & Ethics) and implement or recommend remediation measures where gaps are identified.
- Develop and administer NMC’s Code of Conduct & Ethics and ancillary policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement appropriate procedures for declaring and managing conflicts of interest and for obtaining annual certifications of the Code of Conduct & Ethics for all employees
- Develop appropriate ethics and compliance training and awareness for all staff.
- Lead NMC’s anti-corruption compliance programme providing clear guidance and advice on this and related compliance risks such as gifts, entertainment, and conflicts of interest.
- Initiate, manage, and drive a high performing ethics & compliance liaison network that adequately covers all NMC’s verticals.
- Support the VP to measure ethical culture at NMC and to help leadership implement actions to progressively improve this measure in their respective business areas.
- Develop, monitor and report key compliance metrics to senior leadership and the Audit Committee as required.
- Manage NMC’s Speak Up Policy and processes. Manage its confidential reporting line.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Qualifying law degree, either common law or civil law jurisdiction desirable (e.g., LLB, JD)
- Relevant Compliance and Ethics related certification such as CCEP, CFE, or similar
Knowledge and Skills
- Significant experience advising large organisations on ethics & compliance risks and compliance contractual clauses,Â
- In depth knowledge of compliance management frameworks
- Proven leadership and project‑management abilities; self‑starter who thrives in fast‑paced, multicultural environments and motivates others.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Excellent written and verbal communicator—adept at policy drafting, presenting and translating complex issues into clear, practical guidance.
- Strong analytical thinker able to sift large, disjointed data sets, spot risk patterns and design data‑driven dashboards that support proactive E&C decision‑making (Power BI/Tableau desirable)Â
- Highly organised, goal‑oriented and guided by a strong sense of integrity and organisational justice
