About the Role:
We are looking for an Audit Specialist to join our Hospital Cluster Audits team — a function that plays a crucial role in driving transparency, operational excellence, and compliance across our hospitals.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to healthcare operations, contribute to meaningful process improvements, and collaborate directly with hospital management and leadership. You will be at the forefront of identifying risks, analyzing performance, and ensuring governance standards are upheld in one of the region’s most dynamic healthcare groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment & Planning
- Support the development of the risk-based internal audit plan by assisting in risk assessments and control evaluations.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify key risk areas and improvement opportunities.
Internal Audit Execution
- Execute internal audits in line with IIA standards and the Internal Audit Department Manual.
- Conduct process walkthroughs, develop risk and control matrices, and perform testing procedures.
- Gather and document evidence to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
- Prepare high-quality working papers and contribute to the drafting of audit findings and reports.
Consulting, Ad-Hoc Reviews & Investigations
- Support in investigations related to compliance, fraud, or operational irregularities.
- Participate in consulting and special assignments to enhance process efficiency and control effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
People & Development
- Actively engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the audit team.
- Support and mentor junior staff when required, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the healthcare or hospital industry.
- Strong understanding of IIA standards and internal audit methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ACL, IDEA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for process improvement.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex findings.
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and objectivity.
