Position: Pharmacy Assistant
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations, ensuring the accurate handling of medications, maintaining inventory, and contributing to a safe and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions.
- Receive, store, and organize pharmaceutical products according to established procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment and expiry date checks.
- Maintain accurate records of medication supplies and transactions.
- Support the pharmacy team in ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Assist in preparing medication orders for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries under pharmacist supervision.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Assistance, Pharmacy Technician, or a related healthcare field.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and medication handling practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and pharmacy management systems.
